The Laney Spiral Array's simplified 4-knob layout belies the powerful processing beneath. The Depth knob adjusts the depth of the chorus wave, and you can set it to zero for a cool doubling effect. The Rate knob sets the speed of the chorus wave; the Mix knob dials in the amount of wet signal versus the amount of dry signal; the Tone knob tailors the pedal's overall tonal response. Finally, the Mode switch toggles between AN (a '70s-style analog effect based on the boss of all chorus pedals), DIM (a dimensional late-'70s/early-'80s digital effect with two choruses running 180 degrees out-of-phase), and TSC (a tri-stereo-chorus tailor-made for '80s LA-style studio tones).
