Construction

The Epiphone Zephyr model is notorious for it hollow semi-acoustic design, projecting plenty of volume even when unplugged. Constructed from Maple, this bright-sounding tonewood offers a strong upper mid-range voice with plenty of presence, ensuring that your playing articulation is highlighted.

The Zephyr's hollow body is paired with a stable Mahogany neck, introducing some low-end warmth to mellow out the sound of the instrument. Adorned with a Pau Ferro fingerboard, this sleek material feels smooth under the fingers, with the 'Vintage C' neck profile offering a substantial feel for comfortable playability.

A huge part of this instrument's voice comes from its Epiphone-designed ProBucker mini humbuckers. These pickups give you the punchy mid-range that you'd expect from a full-sized humbucker, but with some of the sparkle and lower output you'd expect from a P90 or even a bold-sounding single-coil.
