This guitar is Saito Japan’s ultra premium custom shop and hand numbered with very few pcs available worldwide!

the 33BEYOND, which is with the set neck and single cut from their flagship line “BEYOND” has been released. The name of the model comes from the width of the body end (33 cm).

This guitar was crafted to achieve supreme tone created by carefully selected materials and craftsmanship.

THE HISTORY

The “Burst” is one of the most valuable instruments in history. In order to unravel the secrets of this instrument that continues to fascinate people over the time, Mr Saito himself disassembled and measured the original 1958 piece, created precise 3D data of the shape, and recorded the characteristics of the pickup and the materials used.

And then, this led to the release of “No.1 Standard”, which attempted to reproduce the original as closely as possible with the materials that were in distribution at the time and using materials that were available at the time. 

This series, which was released in limited quantities, sold the planned production quantity, and production was regrettably completed.

The data gained during the development and production of this series would later be carried over to the new 33BEYOND.

The 33BEYOND that Saito is announcing this time follows the No. 1 Standard in looks and play feel, but was developed to exceed it in terms of playability and sound.

While the position of the pegs and nuts related to playability and the head angle are the same as those of the “No. 1”, a Rotomatic tuner is used for high durability, and high tuning accuracy can be achieved.

The headstock surface is decorated with ebony, and you can enjoy the beautiful contrast between the natural black of the wood and the white mother of pearl logo.

The body back and neck are luxuriously made of 1 Piece Honduras mahogany with selected wood grain and color. There are cuts on both sides of the body back so that you can play without stress when you sit down.
The neck joint is box-shaped, and the unique shape with a deep cut on the first string side is designed to improve the playability of the high frets.

The impressive shape of the body top has been carefully designed to look beautiful from any angle. The elegant curves, which look as if they were carved by hand, are the result of both respect for the masterpieces of yesteryear and our technology. The wood used for the top is selected the highest quality curly maple, which is mainly imported from the United States. The grain shines like a jewel, and you can enjoy a wide variety of expressions depending on the intensity and direction of the light.

The pickup is the Sledge58, which was well received in the No.1 Standard. All components including the ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, aluminum tailpiece, long studs and anchors, the pots and capacitors, are selected to use only the highest quality parts.

It is safe even when touring or overseas expeditions, and a hard-shell case with a TSA lock function is included as standard. Additionally, a pickguard and nickel-plated mounting bracket are included.
