Ibanez FRM100 TR Paul Gilbert Fireman Signature in Transparent Red
Ibanez FRM100 TR Paul Gilbert Fireman Signature in Transparent Red
Ibanez FRM100TR
The Ibanez Fireman FRM100TR was designed by Paul Gilbert (Mr Big) who reversed the classic Ibanez iceman body shape. He also specified the pickups and other electronics (DiMarzios) to create the incredible tone that was in his head. You can see from the videos just how enthusiastic he is about the Fireman and we think the craziest thing is the price! How on earth did they manage to deliver such great value and yet such a great quality guitar!
Similar to his other signature models, the FRM100TR features a specific layout to keep the volume knob location in Paul's favorite spot. In addition, the guitar features a pickup selector switch and an added tone control for maximum tone shaping. The neck of FRM100TR is different than the previous RG shapes in the Paul Gilbert signature series. It's thicker and fatter - 22mm@1st fret and 24mm@12th fret - for a classic feel. The 3 pc mahogany/maple/mahogany neck offers the player a fat and tight sound with a solid grip for comfortable playability which Paul demanded.
