Ibanez FLATV1-BK Josh Smith Signature in Black
Ibanez FLATV1-BK Josh Smith Signature in Black
The FLATV1 is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is a Signature guitar of American blues-rock virtuoso, Josh Smith. It is produced in Japan by FujiGen. The FLATV1 is based on the Fender Telecaster-inspired AZS series with which it debuted. The FLATV1 features an ash body bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple neck with a 21-fret S-Tech roasted maple fingerboard with black dot position markers and Luminlay side dots. Components include a Gotoh F1803 fixed bridge with In-Tune saddles, a pair of Seymour Duncan custom single-coil pickups, a white pickguard, a bone nut, and vintage-style Gotoh tuning machines. The FLATV1 leans into the "traditional" design with a slab body devoid of any comfort cuts and a flat neck joint with a metal plate.
